The traffic started moving. Cars honked. A man on a motorcycle yelled at her to look ahead. But Anita was frozen, staring at the pixelated letters of their name on the list. She thought of the balcony facing the hills. She thought of her mother-in-law’s faded silk sarees tucked in an old trunk. She thought of luck.
