"The road takes everyone. I just decide who pays the toll." The story explores restorative violence vs. justice. Tomi doesn't kill. She "impounds" evil—dragging it into the light of the salvage yard where the evidence can’t be buried.

Tomi Taylor (30s). A powerfully built woman with a prosthetic left hand (a custom-made steel claw that doubles as a winch controller). She’s laconic, brilliant with hydraulics, and carries a deep rage from being betrayed by the system she once served. She doesn’t own a gun. She owns a 2005 Kenworth Wrecker —dubbed "The Reaper"—with a 50-ton rotator boom and a secret: a reinforced chassis, hidden spike strips, and an electromagnetic pulse emitter.
