Finally got to check out El Presidente S01E01 on BD25. The picture quality is miles ahead of streaming – you can actually see the grain and texture they intended. The first episode does a great job setting up the corruption and tension. If you’re a fan of political dramas or the FIFA scandal docu-drama style, give it a shot.
This is a single-layer Blu-ray disc (~25GB capacity). For a 45-50 minute episode, that’s plenty of space. The video bitrate is high enough to avoid artifacts, and the 5.1 mix really shines during the crowded stadium and backroom deal scenes.
