The gray polygons were gone. In their place, every shape had a glowing, neon outline. The translation arrow pulsed with light. The rotation point sparkled. The reflection line shimmered like a mirror. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Lena squeaked
The music returned to a frantic dubstep beat. This was Geometry Dash again, but twisted. The jumps were mirrored. A gravity portal on the left meant an anti-gravity portal on the right. A jump pad on the left launched her into a ceiling spike on the right. She selected Stereo Madness , the first level
A sawblade—a real Geometry Dash sawblade—spun in the middle of the screen. To avoid it, she had to rotate her square body around a fixed point. But she wasn’t a square anymore. She was the rectangle. She felt her corners stretching, her axes shifting. The rhythm of the music changed—a slow, mathematical waltz.
Her square body lurched forward. She realized she could move only in straight, rigid lines. Tap. She jumped exactly one unit. Tap. Another unit. She had to land precisely on each coin. One coin was positioned over a pit. She calculated the distance. Five units. No margin for error.
“What the—” Lena whispered.
