Google Docs Download 'link' Desktop -

Sign in to your Google account.

Go to docs.google.com .

Click Settings .

Under the Offline section, check the box: ✅ "Create, open, and edit your recent Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files on this device while offline." Step 5: Click OK or Done .

Check the box "Open as window" and click Install .

Create or open any document (this step is necessary for the option to appear). Sign in to your Google account

A Google Docs icon appears on your desktop, taskbar/dock, and Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac). Click it to open Google Docs like a desktop app. Note for Mac users: PWAs work in Chrome and Edge. Safari does not support this feature.
