She grabbed the tongs, scampered to the bushes, and carefully— clink, clink —plucked each paper plate from the twigs. “Thank you, Toodles!” she cheered.
It was a sun-splashed morning in the big green backyard, and Minnie Mouse was humming a happy tune. She spread out her favorite pink-and-white polka-dot blanket right under the shade of the big daisy tree.
Toodles wiggled, and his front panel opened to reveal three Mystery Mousketools: a little fan, a roll of sticky tape, and a pair of shiny tongs.
Minnie tapped her chin. “A fan? No, that would blow more things away. Sticky tape? That would make the blanket even stickier.” Then she saw the tongs. “Of course! The tongs!”
