Prison Break Episode | 1 Summary

Here’s a detailed summary and analysis of , originally aired on August 29, 2005. Title: “Pilot” Brief Overview The episode introduces Michael Scofield , a structural engineer who robs a bank to get himself sent to Fox River State Penitentiary . His goal: to break out his older brother, Lincoln Burrows , who is on death row for a murder he didn’t commit. The pilot establishes the show’s high-concept premise, intricate plotting, and breakneck pace. Full Summary Opening Scene The episode opens with Lincoln Burrows in a visiting room at Fox River. His teenage son, LJ , visits him. Lincoln is stoic but clearly pained, insisting he’s innocent. The visit ends with guards escorting him back to death row. Michael’s Plan We meet Michael Scofield in a lawyer’s office. He’s reviewing blueprints of Fox River Penitentiary. His lawyer, Veronica Donovan (also Lincoln’s childhood friend), unsuccessfully argues Lincoln’s appeal. Michael calmly tells her he has a plan, but she dismisses it.

In the final scene, alone in his cell, Michael stands before a mirror, touches a specific image on his chest, and pulls back a piece of skin-like paper. Underneath is a perfectly detailed architectural blueprint of Fox River Penitentiary, integrated into the tattoo’s design. He says: “The only way to break out of a prison is to build it first.” prison break episode 1 summary

Dark background on some thumbnails

a folder with two thumbnails whose background is entirely black

Clear your Explorer thumbnail cache (see above) or copy the file to a different location.

This is a bug in Windows 10 that also affects other thumbnails – for example transparent PNG images here and here.

I can’t do anything in my program to work around it, I’m afraid. Please use the Windows 10 feedback function to report this to Microsoft. If enough users do it, they may eventually fix it. Windows 7 does not have this bug.
