A boot crunches on charred wood. Lois Lane, bruised and hollow-eyed, sifts through the wreckage of her home. She finds a melted toy soldier belonging to Jordan—then tucks it into her coat pocket without a word. A police drone hums overhead. On the horizon, the sun struggles to rise behind a twisted metal spire that wasn’t there yesterday: the remains of the DoD headquarters, cleaved in two by Lex Luthor’s new weapon.
