The Bay S05e03 | 360p
The episode opens with DS Jenn Townsend under immense pressure. The discovery of a young woman's body in the Morecambe Bay tides links back to an unsolved case from three years ago. DCI Manning warns her that if she doesn't get a result in 48 hours, the case will be handed over to the Major Investigation Team.
Meanwhile, Jenn's own family drama escalates. Her son, Conor, is caught shoplifting again, and her ex-husband, Andy, uses it to threaten custody. But the bigger shock: Jenn's father, Billy Townsend , shows up unannounced at her house. He's been out of prison for six months (she didn't know he was released). He asks for money, and when she refuses, he storms off.
The episode ends with Jenn getting a call from the hostel. A young woman has just checked in using a fake name: "Erin Townsend" – Jenn's estranged daughter, whom she gave up for adoption 17 years ago and never told anyone about, not even her current family. the bay s05e03 360p

Marcus is arrested while trying to flee across the sands. In the back of the police car, he looks at Jenn and says: "You think you're saving them? You can't even save your own daughter." (Jenn has no daughter – he's clearly confusing her with someone else... or is he?)
Jenn and Med raid the farm at dusk. In the barn, they find Leah's phone and a bloodied tarpaulin – but also another girl, Chloe (16) , locked in a root cellar. Chloe whispers that Marcus "got rid of Leah because she was going to talk." Meanwhile, Jenn's own family drama escalates
The victim is identified as Leah Sumner , a 22-year-old care leaver who worked at a local arcade and lived in a hostel. Jenn visits the hostel and finds her room ransacked. The manager admits that Leah owed money to a loan shark named Col "The Fish" Farley .
