On both Windows and macOS, the app is an Electron wrapper. Idling in the background, it consumes around 200–300 MB of RAM. On a modern machine that’s fine, but on an older laptop with 4–8 GB RAM, you’ll notice it. The web version in a lightweight browser (like Edge or Safari) can sometimes be leaner.
