Leo paid. He didn’t argue.
“We see this a lot,” she said, wiping a smear of old caulk off the sill. “People think a window seal is like a Tupperware lid. Pop it, fix it, reseal it. But it’s a vacuum seal. It’s engineered. Once you break it, you don’t repair it. You replace it.”
