The laptop was a relic: a Dell Latitude from 2010, stickers for “Windows 7 Professional” faded to ghosts on its lid. It had 2 GB of RAM and a stubborn soul. Leo had tried Ubuntu, but the wireless card refused. He’d tried XP, but the SSD driver cried. Only Windows 7 32-bit spoke its ancient tongue.
